The Studio Collection is where Gryphon experiments.
Each reference begins with a material we find interesting. From there, we build.
The material is transformed into Micarta, shaped into a watch case, and paired with the details that best suit it. Color, texture, layering and imperfections are allowed to remain visible. No two pieces will ever be perfectly identical.
Studio watches are entirely Gryphon-designed pieces.
We choose the material, develop the watch around it, build the prototypes and decide when the idea is ready to become a finished reference.
Some materials may come from familiar places. Others may be unusual, overlooked or unexpected.
The point is to make something interesting from them.
Studio references are produced in small quantities.
That gives us room to experiment, change direction and keep making new things rather than turning every idea into a permanent product.
When a reference is finished, it remains part of our story. A record of what has come out of Gryphon Watches.
Meaning doesn't always have to come from something you've owned for years.
Sometimes it comes from the object itself, the process, and everything that come after.
